Idly & Dosa
Ingredients:

Rice: 2 cups
Urad Dal ¼ cups
Idli:
Method:
Soak rice and urad dal in separate vessels. Grind urad dal finely.Grind rice roughly and not as fine as urad dal. Mix rice paste and urad dal paste with salt to taste. Keep the mixture to be idle for about 12 hrs for fermentation. Pour the thick batter in idli moulds and steam it for 7 minutes. Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
Dosai:
Method:
Dosai making is same as that of the above section (idli). But the batter should be diluted with water. Pour the batter on dosai making tawa. To make the filling cut the vegetables into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan , add the vegetables and the seasoning. Cook it on low flame till vegetables are becoming soft.
